Hancock (Will Smith) has been geared up to be an amazing super hero film about a troubled super hero who wins the hearts of the city thanks to the help of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman). While this is the first half of the film it turns into something much less fun. After an extremely fun and exciting first half a twist in the plot turns the movie into a real snoozer. All the fast paced action and fun is replaced with poorly written dialog and a directional disaster. The story is well below Will Smith’s potential and should have been skipped by the man who amazed us with I Am Legend, and made us cry with The Pursuit of Happyness. Charlize Theron is a train wreck in this film, but it is hard to blame her because her character is so poorly written. I don’t want to get into detail about Theron’s character because it would be a major spoiler, but I could have done without her part entirely. In fact her big shocking moment in the film failed to impress me in the slightest.
To make a long story short, this summer has been filled with to many great films (Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Wall-E) and to many amazing films are still upcomming (THE DARK KNIGHT, Hellboy II, X-Files 2) to waste your time and money on this underachieving movie. Wait for Dark Knight, its going to be amazing!!!

(Update: Its official, this is for a DS remake of Chrono Cross. Fanboys rejoice!!! Check out this update to the Chrono Cross Wikipedia article! On July 2, 2008, Square Enix announced that they were officially planning to bring Chrono Trigger to the Nintendo DS handheld platform. The updated re-release is set to take advantage of the Nintendo DS hardware with a new dual-screen presentation, support for the touch screen, and a wireless play mode. The game will also add a brand new dungeon, though details of it are unknown. Despite the use of the touchscreen, the port will not feature a graphical overhaul, as was done to previous Square Enix remakes on the DS.)

Just moments ago I received the shocking, and downright heartbreaking news that award-winning visual effects artist Stan Winston died at the age of 62.
According to a representative from Stan Winston Studio, Winston died at his home after a seven year bout with multiple myeloma (a type of cancer regarded as incurable).
Winston passed away yesterday, June 15, 2008 at his home in Los Angeles, CA.
Known to most for his work on Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Jurassic Park, Winston won a total of four (4) Oscars and was nominated on multiple occasions.
Winston’s family is asking that donations be made to his charities of choice:

So the uphill trend its continuing, as I put on weight for the second straight day. Its a little disheartening but I am sure if I keep up the workouts that it will start to go down. Today was my best workout so far with a really good mix of yoga, strength training, and aerobics. I did a total of 45 mins of workout up 15 mins from yesterday. My goal is 60 mins a day but I am going to let myself work up to it.
Day 4 BMI: 33.54 (up from 33.49)
Day 4 Weight: 289.9 (up from 289.5)
Day 4 Fit Age: 36 (up from 34)
My target BMI for 2 weeks is 33.01. This almost seems impossible to me right now. It has only been 4 days so we will see what happens.
If anyone else is using Wii Fit I would love to hear your results and hear your ideas for workouts!

Today seems like a bit of a setback. My BMI and weight are a bit higher. I guess I should not expect to lose weight in just 3 workouts. I am just going to stick to my training and try to improve my eating habbits (the BK for dinner a few hours before my workout did not help I am sure. I am trying to phase out fast food but its damn hard).
Day 3 BMI: 33.40 (up from 33.24)
Day 3 Weight: 289.5 (up from 287.3)
Day 3 Fit Age: 34 (up from 20)
